Well, the first rainy day at CPBC this summer has come and gone, but have no fear, the rain did not stop us from camp fun. The morning went as usual through chapel where one of our friendly skit characters found out that he had a super power. Though we have not yet been told what it is yet, we know that Matt cannot fly. The morning activities consisted of splitting up the camp into two groups and playing some fun activities in lakeside or family side of the dinning hall. There was a good mix of chill games and active games including pictionary, person to person, and fruit bowl mix up were played. The afternoon was full of awesome activities. Though not much could be done outside we still continued on with skills time where the campers got to have a lot of fun doing all the indoor activies that camp has to offer. And then for our big game we played a few rounds of trench (dodgeball with slighlty different rules) in the gym, it was so great seeing the campers get so into the game! Free time consisted of most of the usual options. The climbing wall was still open in fireside and many campers took advantage of that opportunity. There was also some skim boarding on the ball field, and other great activities that they could do all through camp. The two hours went by quickly before dinner, and after dinner was CHAOS (what we call mail call). The game for the evening was Deal or No Deal and a lucky camper won the chance to pie any staff member in the face at lunch tomorrow. The last event of the evening was chapel, since it was U turn night the speaker told us about how Jesus saves us. Mentioning stores such as Jesus' Baptism, as well as the time he spent in the garden praying, she revealed to the campers how deep the love of Jesus really is for us and the importance of having a personal relationship with him. The night closed with some more mellow worship and a much anticipated night's rest for all.
